Lance C. Fuller — Improv

Improv has run through so much of what Lance does: his own podcast, work in commercials, video game characters (Hitman recordings have allowed him to improvise from day one), and in films. An actor trained in improv has a mighty creative tool in their belt, and Lance recommends every actor learns to improvise.

He trained with Tim Sniffen and by using the Upright Citizens Brigade Comedy Improvisation Manual. Also just by getting up there and doing it!

Dwayne Didderman Reads

A semi-improvised podcast where Dwayne (Lance) asks a fellow improviser to write a few chapters from their own terrible book and submit it to him, as that author, in character. Dwayne then dives into the depths of that book, finding deep meanings, and doing an improvised interview. Featuring some of the UK's best improv talent.

Video Games

Hitman

Hitman gets its own mention under Improv because the iOi writers and directors have openly encouraged it (when time permits), and Lance is delighted that several of his improvisations have made it into the game. If you hear something particularly kooky from a character he voices, there's a good chance they let him make up things on the spot and then kept the line because they loved it.

Improv Troupe

Everyone Gets a Trophy

Lance's improv troupe in Glasgow. They had a heck of a run, performing regularly at Blackfriars in Merchant City, The Blythswood, and the Glasgow Comedy Festival. Then incredible shows at Edinburgh Horror Fest and the Fringe. In Edinburgh they performed their smash hit Slashers Prefer Blondes — an entirely improvised horror film based on audience suggestion. One gimmick included a massive playlist of horror film music that any team member could play at any time.

Other People's Children

When Lance moved to London, he formed an improv team with RCS classmate Riley Madincea called Other People's Children. They performed for years in venues all around London.
